Great Vigil (Friday, June 7)

To commemorate the 350th anniversary of the Apparitions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary in Paray-le-Monial, a Jubilee lasting a year and a half is taking place from December 27, 2023, the anniversary of the first main apparition, to June 27, 2025, the date of the Solemnity of the feast of the Sacred Heart. These apparitions gave rise to devotion to the Sacred Heart. 

« To return love for love » is the theme of this great moment of pilgrimage, liturgies, and meetings. 

The Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary invite the Saint William community to join us in reigniting the fire of our love for the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and console them who “have been so much offended” in a special opportunity for prayer and adoration. 

We will begin with Mass on Friday, June 7, in the main church in honor of the Sacred Heart followed by adoration until midnight in reparation and consolation to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts and to pray for our priests on this World Day of Prayer for the sanctification of priests. We will close the celebration with Mass in honor of the Immaculate Heart on June 8th.
