I was born in Austin to a wonderful Catholic family, to whom I owe the immense debt of not only my life, but also my Faith. My picture may seem familiar because I have been a member of Saint William since I was in second grade, and I have served as an altar server since I was in fourth grade.
Even before I started school, I remember being drawn to the priesthood, and this attraction to this way of following God was nurtured through my Catholic school education all the way through high school. At the end of high school, I discerned that God was not actually calling me to seminary right out of high school, but was calling me to Texas A&M University. I followed God’s calling and studied engineering at A&M for a year.
Part way through that year, God made it clear that He was calling me to take another step of Faith in following Him, and so I applied and was ultimately accepted to seminary at the end of that year. God has led me on the greatest adventure I could hope for, and I am thankful that coming home, at least for a bit, is my next step.
