As of July 1st, I will be a Parochial Administrator (and ultimately Pastor) of Blanco County – St. Ferdinand Parish in Blanco, Good Shepherd Mission in Johnson City, and St. Mary, Help of Christians Historic Chapel in Twin Sisters – the southwestern edge of the Diocese, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I will be the only Priest there!
I have enjoyed my time here at St. William, and there are many people and things I will miss, such as the beauty, but especially the staff, which has been my greatest joy here. Be sure to give my replacement Fr. Leonardo Guevara a big welcome!
My reception will be on Thursday, June 27th in the Parish Hall at 6:30 pm. That is also the anniversary of my Presbyteral Ordination, so let’s celebrate! I look forward to seeing you then! As mentioned, instead of gifts, please donate to the Parish (not in my name) for Debt Reduction.
St. William has been a beautiful place for me. Thank you tremendously for teaching this new, young Priest so many things. Please let me know how I can improve! And please keep me and Fr. Leonardo in prayer, as well as all clergy in transition. It is a joy to serve! May Almighty God bless you abundantly!
Lastly, whenever I’m asked to share “one thing” with people, I usually can’t come up with anything quickly. But the word that comes to mind is “unity” – thus perhaps the Church Father St. Ignatius of Antioch’s beautiful words can serve us well: that we should be united “as strings of a harp. So in your harmony of mind and heart the song you sing is Jesus Christ. Every one of you should form a choir, so that, in harmony of sound through harmony of hearts, and in unity taking the note from God, you may sing with one voice through Jesus Christ to the Father.”
-Rev. Kyle Nesrsta Please join us on Thursday, June 27 starting at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall (Bldg. 3) as we bid farewell to Fr. Kyle.
